Terms of use for Meet a Student

These terms of use were created in March 2019.

Rights and obligations you as a user have equal to Meet a Student

This subpage at www.meetastudent.com/ terms and conditions contains the terms of use (now called the ”terms”) for how you may use the Meet a Student website and its services.

The terms constitute a binding agreement between you and Meet a Student and they are approved each time you choose to visit Meet a Student’s website or use Meet a Student’s services. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use Meet a Student’s services or website. If you have an account, you must delete your information if you do not accept the terms.

Definitions:

Meet a Student Websites: Any of the websites that Meet a Student controls, fully, to some extent or otherwise uses or includes Meet a Students services.

Meet a Students services: Applications and services offered by Meet a Student, including online profiles, online function for publishing or searching for services, applications that are accessed via Facebook, mobile or that you are otherwise given access to such application.

Meet a Student network: Services, applications, tools such as online profile, forums, user pages, community, communication tools and job search services that facilitate job search and networking for Meet a Students users.

User: The person who uses Meet a Students websites, services and networks. The user is a person who registers on the Meet a Students website and creates a profile.

Profile: The user’s information that he / she registers on Meet a Student websites. The information in the profile is displayed on a user page.

It is not permitted for anyone to use any content in the user’s profile or any other content on Meet a Students websites, Meet a Students network, Meet a Students services to assess a person’s suitability for any type of third party service such as loans or insurance.

Use of the content on Meet a Student.

The terms allow access to and use of Meet a Students websites and the content of Meet a Student. You have the right to download and print the content available on the user’s public profile page. It may be printed for private use but may not be used for commercial purposes. No other content on Meet a Students websites is permitted to be downloaded, printed or used privately or commercially.

”Other content on Meet a Students” websites means design, logos, illustrations, videos, images, text, buttons, software, code, user content and profiles. This is protected by copyright and trademark protection for Meet a Student.

You must retain all markings with logos and copyright information contained on the original Meet a Student content.

The code that generates all content on Meet a Students websites, services, profiles, etc. belongs to Meet a Student and is protected by copyright and may not be copied or altered.

You may not modify or sell any of the content available on Meet a Students websites. You may not publicly reproduce, reproduce, display, distribute or otherwise use any Content on Meet a Students Web Sites for public or commercial purposes.

Use of Meet a Students services.

Meet a Students users, Meet a Students profiles, Meet a Students job postings and other features found on Meet a Students websites or features and services covered by Meet a Students copyright may only be used by Meet a Students users, Meet a Students’ employers, partners and licensees with separate agreements with Meet a Student.

  1. All users of Meet a Student undertake to NOT:

Perform any action or action that results in an unreasonably or disproportionately large load on Meet a Students websites or servers.
Use third-party tools to find information on Meet a Students websites and services.
Use some form of robot to save, find copy information found on Meet a Students websites, databases or servers.
Do not record information that may be offensive, pornographic, racist or otherwise illegal.
Harass, initiate or approve of harassment by any person, company or group.
Forge any TCP / IP packet identity.
Publish or market materials or information pertaining to Meet a Student.
Dirty or slander Meet a Student in any way.
Publish third-party profiles or users.
Forward any information about another user or profile to an employer that does not have a license agreement with Meet a Student.
Share login details.
Log in to any server or account that you do not have formal access to.
Publish or upload information that is falsified and does not belong to you.
Public

or upload information that promotes other services or products.
Attempt to disrupt Meet a Students websites, Meet a Students services, servers or databases through ”spam”, ”flooding”, ”mailbomb” or using viruses.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your profile, username and password. You are fully responsible for your user and your profile and the information contained therein.

  1. Additional conditions apply to jobseekers.

When you register for Meet a Student, you will be asked to provide certain information such as a valid e-mail address, first name, last name, postcode, postal code, level of education, desired working hours, age and status. An account is created and you become a user in connection with registering and providing the above information.

Once the account is created, you can fill in additional information on your profile such as phone number. You are responsible for ensuring that the information you fill in is correct and not misleading or belongs to anyone else. Meet a Student reserves the right to offer third party services and products to you and send information about this via the contact channels you have chosen to fill in. Upon registration, you agree and give your consent that Meet a Student has the right to share your information to third parties. You agree in connection with the registration Meet a Student’s privacy policy where you can read more details about your personal information and how it may be used.

You understand and accept that you as a user do not have any ownership rights to your profile or the information contained therein. If you choose to terminate your account, all information you have registered and saved jobs will be deleted from Meet a Student’s servers and databases. Information that you have deleted may be available online for a certain period of time after you have chosen to delete your account due to delays that are outside Meet a Student’s responsibility such as Google’s saving of information. Meet a Student reserves the right to delete all information in a user account and users.

  1. Additional conditions applicable to companies.

To create a company account, it is required that the person who registers the company has the authority to do so and that the person holds a company email address. All business users and companies are manually reviewed by Meet a student and approved accordingly. Companies do not have access to student information until they are approved by Meet a student.

You agree that all information you provide by registering a company is accurate, current and complete. You agree to update your information as necessary to maintain its truth and accuracy. Also note that it is forbidden to create an account for a company that you do not have the authority to represent and have an express permission from.

As a business user, you agree that you may not include links in the ad text to application pages. A link to an external application page is added to the field ”external link” in the job advertisement. Meet a Student reserves the right to change or remove a job advertisement that does not follow our guidelines.

As a business user, you will have access to students’ information. You hereby agree that this information will not be shared with third parties but will only be used internally within the company and only authorized personnel will have access to the information. You agree that you and the company will not discriminate on the basis of ethnicity, national origin, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability or other status that is regulated in accordance with the Discrimination Act 2008: 567.

You have the opportunity to contact students directly via the service. By using this service, you agree not to persecute, defame, bully, harass, abuse, threaten, intimidate or impersonate anyone other than who you are.

Business users which includes you and your colleagues who are added as administrators are subject to the terms. You agree that information shared by you to a person who is not an administrator associated with the Company is not covered by the Meet a student terms. In such a case, you and the company will be responsible for the information and take responsibility for legal consequences that may arise from the GDPR or other legislation.

By accepting the terms, you agree that Meet a student may review, change or delete information published on the site from the company.

6.1 Terms for the first job for free

All new companies that register can post the first job for free to test the service. There are no hidden costs or fees. The only company that undertakes when using the offer is to take a 10-minute call when the job expires, where Meet a Student can collect feedback about the service.
When the job expires, the company itself chooses whether they want to continue using the service or not. There is no cost to keep the account after that

first job expired. The only costs associated with a company account after the first free job are to add a new job, event or offer. An active choice from the company is required to be charged for anything on the service. For example, a choice to post a new job. Then the company charged for the cost of posting a job, nothing more.

6.2 Uploading files

When creating a company account, the user must upload a logo and can also choose to upload other documentation. All documents and files uploaded to the service are covered by these terms.

6.3 Account status and prices

6.3.1 Base account

When registering a company account, a ”basic account” is created which is completely free of charge, an administrator is included and the opportunity to publish a job advertisement, 3 news true a company page. The basic account and the functions included according to the text above are always free of charge.

6.3.2 Premium Account

A company account can be upgraded for a fixed monthly cost that is paid for the next 30 days. There is no lock-in period and the premium account can be closed at any time. Upon termination, the account returns to a free account and all functionality included in the premium account is closed. More about prices can be read inside the company account.

6.4 Deletion of account and information

A company account can be terminated at any time from the logged in account. Upon termination of the account, all information about the company, its users and all information uploaded by the company will be deleted. Only the main administrator has the right to delete the account.

  1. User content and contributions.

You as a user are responsible for ensuring that all user content and the information you have contributed is correct. Meet a Student is not responsible for any information that you as a user have uploaded and disclaims responsibility for information that may be incorrect, illegal or covered by patents. Meet a Student reserves the right to disclose information about you as a user to third parties or authorities if any type of illegal act has taken place.

You agree that all user content that you register on your profile and on any of the Meet a Students websites is royalty-free and fully transferable, is not covered by licenses and Meet a Student may use the content and your information without any subsequent costs or legal action. Meet a Student has the right to use all content that you as a user register and publish on your profile for marketing purposes.

  1. Warranty disclaimer

Meet a Student does not guarantee that any service will function properly or that its servers will be free from viruses, other trojans or mechanisms that could be harmful insofar as it does not infringe any legislation.

Meet a Student is not responsible for any type of repair or damage to equipment that occurs through the use of any of the Meet a Students websites or services. Meet a Student makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness or reliability of any information or functionality on Meet a Students websites or services.

  1. Limitation of liability.

Meet a Student is not responsible for any content that a user uploads.

Meet a student is not responsible for the recruitment process of any of the companies that advertise jobs on the platform. Meet a student is not responsible for and can not be held responsible for why a candidate has been denied a job on the platform.
To the extent permitted by law, Meet a Student can be liable for a maximum of damages that can amount to a maximum of SEK 1,000.

  1. Links to Other Websites.

Meet a Students Web sites have links to other Web sites and third-party services. These links should only be seen as aids and not recommendations of other people’s websites or services. Meet a Student is not responsible for the content of any of the pages that the links lead to and is not responsible for any damage that may occur on these pages. If you decide to click on a link and go to one of those pages, it happens at your own risk and Meet a Student has no responsibility.

  1. No resale or unauthorized commercial use.

You agree not to use any information or service on Meet a Students’ websites for any commercial purpose.

  1. Contract period and termination of contract.

The terms will be active as long as you are a user of one of the Meet a Students websites. Meet a Student has the right to, at its own discretion, terminate your account, delete your information and use legal sanctions. If you close your account, certain parts of the terms will continue to apply. We refer to sections 1, 2, 5 and 7.

The terms will enter into force in March 2019
