Tech Lead – Forecasting team, Solna

We are looking for a Tech Lead to drive technical excellence within our Forecasting team, while developing a relatively junior group into a cohesive, high performing unit. In this role, you will combine hands-on technical leadership with coaching and business alignment, ensuring scalable ML solutions that deliver real value.

About the Role

As a Tech Lead you will be responsible for guiding the team across Data Science, Data Engineering, and MLOps, shaping both ways of working and technical direction. You’ll act as a coach, mentor, and key partner to the business – bridging knowledge gaps and ensuring the team focuses on the right problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Coach & develop the team through mentoring, code reviews, pair programming, and structured learning plans

• Set technical direction for models, pipelines, and deployment, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions

• Strengthening engineering and ML practices including testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and reproducibility

• Drive agile ways of working and create a predictable delivery rhythm

• Translate business needs into ML solutions and proactively identify new high-impact use cases

• Ensure delivery of production-ready solutions, balancing short- and long-term needs

• Align cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders

• Lead by example with hands-on contribution and high-quality code

• Solid experience within Data Science, Data Engineering, and/or MLOps, with a broad understanding across the ML lifecycle

• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop others, particularly in growing less experienced teams

• Experience working with ML models, data pipelines, and production environments

• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices (CI/CD, testing, versioning, reproducibility)

• Experience working in Agile environments and structuring complex, uncertain work

• Ability to connect technical solutions to business value and prioritize accordingly
