Engineer Trainee

What This Position Is About – Purpose
This is a trainee role designed to give you a strong foundation within Project Engineering in a modern manufacturing environment.
As a Trainee Project Engineer, you will work closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to support the planning and execution of engineering projects. You will gradually build your technical, project management, and stakeholder coordination skills while contributing to real business needs.
You will be exposed to areas such as CapEx projects, production improvements, and energy management, with increasing responsibility as you develop in the role.
What Will You Do – Responsibilities
- Support engineering projects from planning to implementation together with senior colleagues
- Assist in feasibility studies and technical evaluations for new solutions and improvements
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as Production, Quality, and Product Development
- Help track project progress, timelines, and budgets (CapEx)
- Participate in supplier and contractor coordination
- Contribute to continuous improvement and preventive maintenance initiatives
- Support work related to KPIs such as technical efficiency, waste reduction, and energy consumption
- Assist in maintaining compliance with safety, environmental, and engineering standards (EHS)
- Learn and contribute to the site’s energy management system (ISO 50001)
Who Are We Looking For – Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g. Mechanical, Automation or similar)
- Up to 1–2 years of relevant experience (or newly graduated)
- Strong interest in project management and industrial engineering
- Fluent in English and Swedish
- Good knowledge of MS Office; experience with MS Project or CAD is a plus
- Curious, proactive and eager to learn in a hands-on environment
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
